It's that time....
Time for a decision and time to start a blog.
I've never kept a blog before so here goes something new!
Speaking of something new....I'm praying about a new opportunity to do something different and new. I am signing up and applying to spend a year overseas in South Korea and teach English to Korean kids.
For the past five years I have wanted to do something to make a difference and I've been serving here in Colorado Springs, working at my church as a Youth Sponsor and Worship Leader. I have LOVED it!!!! I moved to Colorado with a passion to work with youth, did something new and out of the ordinary, moved here without a job, or place to live. God provided all the above. I have LOVED the time I've been out here.
In November of 2009 I felt God prompting me to go back to school, so I looked into Grad Programs and decided that he was leading me to be a Counselor, so I applied and was accepted into the Masters of Counseling program at Regis Unversity here in the Springs, in January 2010. I will walk in May 2012 with my MA in Counseling and will then go for my LPC to be a Licensed Professional Counselor. Now what? I have accomplished such huge goals for myself, but there is still more to come!!!!
Now.....
I've applied and been "put on the list" for an amazing opportunity to travel to South Korea and live there for a year, teaching English. I will graduate in May of 2012 and if all goes well, I will be leaving the end of July 2012 for Korea. I will sign a 1 year contract and spend a year of my life experiencing a new culture, learning a new language and meeting so many new people. The opportunity has me so excited about I may encounter.
This time in my life is one that I still have that desire to make a difference.
So the prayers are being prayed, the paperwork is being started, and if all goes well I will in South Korea this time next year!
God has been so good and I can't wait to see what Adventures Await!
